Yiwu to Central Asia: LTL Freight Costs & Consolidation

2026-04-13

Comparing LTL quotations from Yiwu to Central Asia requires checking cargo conditions, dispatch arrangements and the scope of charges together. Road LTL (Less-than-Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) should be assessed using the shipment’s total volume, weight, packaging, cargo characteristics and delivery needs.

Prepare details for each batch

List suppliers, exact cargo names, package counts, individual weights and dimensions, packaging, ready dates and the final delivery address. For multiple suppliers or readiness dates, state whether consolidation is needed. Xinya Freight can coordinate collection through Yiwu, Guangzhou and Wenxian, Henan; Yiwu includes a sorting centre. Confirm receiving points and conditions first.

Compare FTL and LTL on the same basis

Use the same origin, final address, cargo list and delivery requirements when comparing proposals. Check the weight, volume, currency, validity period and conditions used in each quotation. LTL suitability also depends on cargo compatibility and consolidation arrangements. Package count or an individual price item alone cannot establish total cost.

Ask separately about waiting and split dispatches

If suppliers have different ready dates, explain how long you can wait and request applicable arrangements and charges for consolidation, storage or separate dispatches. Dispatch and estimated transit are confirmed in the proposal. The requested receiving date informs planning.

Check included and excluded services

Identify applicable collection, handling, storage, customs coordination, status updates, insurance and final delivery services, together with each party’s responsibilities. Declare chemicals, dangerous goods and oversized cargo separately and provide relevant supporting information. An ordinary LTL quotation does not establish acceptance for these goods.

Yiwu cargo consolidation questions

How do I provide cargo volume if I only have carton dimensions?

For each group of equally sized packages, multiply the outer packaged length, width and height in metres by the number of packages, then add the groups together. Include the pallet or crate in the measurements where used. Provide gross weight and stackability separately. This gives the geometric volume for the enquiry; it does not establish a volumetric-weight conversion rule, charging unit or freight price.

What if the packaging changes after the first quotation?

Send an updated, dated cargo list showing the final package count, outer dimensions, gross weight and stackability. Identify any changed collection or delivery requirements. Ask whether the quotation and proposed FTL or LTL arrangement still apply before confirming dispatch; an earlier quotation should not be assumed to cover changed cargo.
